Role Overview
Support NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Strategic Plans and Policy (SPP) and Defence Planning Integration (DPI) efforts by helping develop, implement, and sustain the Innovation Solutions Catalogue (ISC). In this role, you will support both pilot and production ISC activities, including data population, stakeholder coordination, technical support, requirements gathering, and analytical products that help NATO and Allied stakeholders evaluate innovation solutions and force design options.

Role Overview
Support NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Strategic Plans and Policy (SPP) and Defence Planning Integration (DPI) efforts by helping develop, implement, and sustain the Innovation Solutions Catalogue (ISC). In this role, you will support both pilot and production ISC activities, including data population, stakeholder coordination, technical support, requirements gathering, and analytical products that help NATO and Allied stakeholders evaluate innovation solutions and force design options.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development support for the pilot ISC in alignment with ACT and International Staff timelines.
- Populate the pilot ISC using Allied inputs and other approved data sources, including FLE and FLEX related inputs.
- Serve as a support desk for ISC technical questions and user support issues.
- Support development, implementation, and population of the production ISC following the pilot phase.
- Coordinate with ISC stakeholders, including ACT and NATO International Staff organizations, to gather requirements for ISC design, functionality, content, data exchange, and tool integration.
- Improve ISC integration with broader ACT and Alliance innovation work strands and related tools.
- Attend scheduled and ad hoc SPP DPI and FLEX meetings as directed.
- Provide clear feedback, analysis, and recommendations on ISC related work.
- Conduct research to identify threats and opportunities and build forecasts and analytical models.
- Support additional DPI related tasks as assigned by branch leadership.
- 3 or more years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, Systems Architecture, Programme Management, IT Systems Requirements, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's and or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Sciences and Technology, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Ability to participate effectively in high level discussions, workshops, and panels, and prepare professional, high quality documents.
- Experience working in defense environments or prior military experience.
- Active SECRET security clearance.
- Ability to work under general direction with strong accountability and personal responsibility.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational and multidisciplinary team.
- Disciplined, systematic approach to problem solving.
- Strong proficiency with modern office and communications tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Full-time on-site support in Norfolk, VA (SPP DPI Branch / HQ SACT).
- Remote work may be authorized by exception based on mission requirements.
- Overseas travel may be required.
