About the Role
Ironclad Defense Works is seeking a highly skilled Threat Analysis SME to support NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT). This position is integral to enhancing NATO’s threat simulation and adversary emulation capabilities, ensuring that decision-makers and warfighters have realistic, intelligence-driven insights into terrorist networks, asymmetric warfare tactics, and emerging threats.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing, analyzing, and executing exercises designed to test NATO’s counterterrorism strategies, force readiness, and intelligence processes. This role requires expertise in terrorist organizations, unconventional warfare, operational planning, and adversary doctrine, as well as the ability to simulate realistic threat scenarios for NATO training, wargaming, and strategy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth analysis of global and regional terrorist threats, their strategies, financing, and recruitment methods.
  • Assess terrorist use of cyber warfare, social media influence campaigns, and hybrid warfare techniques.
  • Assist in the development of counterterrorism strategies, intelligence collection plans, and operational tactics for NATO forces.
  • Lead planning for NATO training exercises, tabletop simulations, and operational planning sessions.
  • Design scenarios, threat injects, and mission planning exercises to challenge NATO’s force posture and intelligence frameworks.
  • Collaborate with NATO’s intelligence community to enhance methodologies and adversary modeling.
  • Support intelligence fusion efforts by integrating multi-source data, OSINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, and cyber threat intelligence into red team analysis.
  • Provide policy recommendations on NATO’s counterterrorism and hybrid warfare preparedness.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Intelligence, Terrorism Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in threat analysis, asymmetric warfare, or counterterrorism operations.
  • Deep expertise in global threats, violent extremist ideologies, and non-state actor military tactics.
  • Experience in developing and leading wargames, adversary simulations, or threat-based training exercises.
  • Active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with NATO ACT, SHAPE, SOF commands, or strategic intelligence centers.
  • Prior experience leading high-profile wargames, operational simulations, or classified intelligence red team exercises.
  • Published research or strategic assessments related to terrorist organizations, unconventional warfare, or hybrid conflicts.
